According to a post at Speed51.com, NASCAR has pulled four engines following qualifying at Thompson (CT) Speedway and sent them back to the Research and Development Facility in Concord North Carolina. The engines, two Ford and two Chevrolet, will be tested for compatibility.
The Ford engines come from the Bud Pole Award winning #2 of Todd Szegedy, and the #16 of defending NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Champion Mike Stefanik. The Chevrolet engines come from the #4 of Donny Lia and the #48 of Tony Hirschman. ying at Thompson Saturday, NASCAR has pulled four Modified engines (two Fords and two Chevrolets) and taken them back to its Research and Development facility in Concord, NC to test the capabilities of both makes. The two Ford engines were pulled from the Bud Pole-winning #2 car of Szegedy as well as defending WMT Champion Mike Stefanik, while the Chevy engines were taken from Donny Lia's #4 Mystic Missle and Tony Hirschman's #48.
