Here is a tough one. Ryan Newman, has won the last 5 poles in a row at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Before Newman, who was the last driver to win back to back poles at Atlanta?

Your getting warmer Spd! I will throw two hints out there. One, it was a Ford driver. Two it was back in that "era".

Ok, looks like this one is a tough one, (Or Spd knows the answer and is just laughing at us) Here is another hint. The driver I am looking for was a former Cup champion.

How about Buddy Baker in 1979

Now that I reread the origional question I realized the key word was "last".  So that would change my answer to Alan Kulwicki 1989

Well well, welcome back Flash!  You are correct, the late Alan Kulwicki was the driver I was looking for.
