Kvapil's Engine Taken to NASCAR R&D Center After Inspection: During post-race inspection following the O'Reilly 200 at Memphis, NASCAR officials found issue with the engine in race winner Travis Kvapil's No. 6 K&N Filters Ford. The engine will be taken back to the NASCAR R&D Center for further evaluation next week. The issue with the engine was not disclosed. "That is the standard procedure with an issue with the engine," said NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series communications manager Owen Kearns. "It will be taken back to Concord (N.C.) where we can evaluate it more closely in a controlled environment. That is not to say there is anything wrong with it, but there are some things that they want to look at further. They may find there are some infractions, and when that has happened in the past the driver and team kept the win but faced both points and financial penalty. But they may find there is nothing wrong with it at all."(TruckSeries.com)(7-1-2007)
