Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Earlier this week, Mark Gibson and Ryan Blaney tested a new Goodyear Super Late Model tire that will be used in PASS North and South this season. The test took place at Hickory Motor Speedway and both drivers shared their input on the test during this week's "Live to PASS" show on RaceTalkRadio.com.
Gibson reported that he had no tire problems and that the Goodyears were pretty close to the American Racer tires used last season. He reported that the same basic set-ups could be used with adjustments needed with camber. Gibson said that the tires were a little stiffer, a little taller and it takes a little more time to get heat into them.
Blaney reported that the tires were really consistant with just a little bit of wear on the outside edges after a 50-75 lap run.
